We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 (Privacy Act) when handling personal information. The information we collect

Personal information means information about an identifiable individual. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• details of services we have provided to you or that you have enquired about, and our response;

• limited website usage information, such as pages viewed, referral source, device and browser information, country-level location, outbound link clicks, file downloads, form submissions and visits to missing or 404 pages.

We do not collect payment-card details through this website. If payment processing is required, it is handled through the relevant third-party payment provider under its own privacy terms.

How we collect personal information

We collect personal information:

• Directly from you, including when you use our contact or support form, book an appointment, communicate with us by email, telephone or social media, become a client, or otherwise request our assistance.
• Indirectly through your use of our website, including limited aggregated analytics and technical information generated when you browse our pages or interact with links, downloads and forms.
• From third parties, where you have authorised the disclosure or where collection is otherwise permitted by law, including referrals, business partners and publicly available business information.

Website analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand website use in aggregate without building personal advertising profiles. Measurements may include page visits, referral sources, country-level location, device and browser categories, outbound link clicks, file-download clicks, form submissions and visits to our 404 page. We use these measurements to improve our content, navigation, services and website reliability.

Forms, appointments and anti-spam services

Contact and support form submissions may be processed through Cloudflare and delivered to us using Amazon Simple Email Service. We may send an acknowledgement to the email address you provide. Our forms use a hidden anti-spam field and may use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated abuse.

Appointment bookings are provided through Cal.com. When you open or use the booking calendar, Cal.com may process the information and technical data needed to display available appointments and complete your booking. Cal.com’s own privacy terms also apply to that interaction.

Disclosure of personal information

Where reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, we may disclose personal information to:

• our employees, contractors and related service providers;
• IT, website hosting, email delivery, cloud storage, security, analytics, appointment scheduling, accounting and professional advisory providers;
• existing or potential business partners, agents or successors in connection with a genuine business transaction;
• courts, tribunals, regulators or law-enforcement agencies where required or authorised by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights; and
• other parties where you have authorised the disclosure or the disclosure is otherwise required or authorised by law.

Overseas disclosure

Some service providers we use may process or store information outside New Zealand. Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we will comply with Information Privacy Principle 12. This may include confirming that the recipient is subject to the Privacy Act or comparable safeguards, using an approved contractual safeguard, obtaining your informed authorisation where required, or relying on another basis permitted by law.

Your rights and choices

Your choice: You do not have to provide personal information to us. However, if you do not provide information we reasonably need, we may be unable to respond fully, arrange an appointment or provide some services.

Information about other people: If you provide personal information about another person, you must have authority to do so and must ensure they understand how their information may be handled.

Marketing and unsubscribe: You may object to direct marketing or unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe facility in the communication or by contacting us.

Access and correction: Subject to the grounds for refusal in the Privacy Act, you may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. Contact our Privacy Officer using the details below.

Retention: We will not keep personal information for longer than is reasonably required for the purpose for which it may lawfully be used.

Complaints: To make a privacy complaint, contact our Privacy Officer and provide full details. We will investigate and respond to you. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you are not satisfied with our response.

Storage and security

We take reasonable physical, technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, interference and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

No Internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Information transmitted to or from us over the Internet is exchanged at your own risk.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our website and embedded third-party services may use cookies or similar browser storage where needed for security, preferences or service operation. Plausible Analytics is configured for privacy-friendly aggregate measurement. Embedded services such as Cal.com or Cloudflare Turnstile may apply their own technologies and privacy terms.
